Speaking at the Business & Climate Summit, organized on 28-29 June in London to develop recommendations for the 22th UN conference on climate change (COP22), Bensalah said that the event, to be held next November in Marrakech, is both a privilege and a responsibility.

“It is not the first time that Marrakech hosts an event as such. It has already hosted COP7 in 2001″, recalled Bensalah, who was accompanied by a delegation of the CGEM.

She also underlined the proactive measures taken by CGEM in favour of environment protection, highlighting the setting up of a permanent commission in charge of green economy and the Moroccan Cleaner Production Center (CMPP), created as part of a joint program between the Ministry of Industry, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the UN program for environment.
