Rabat- Reacting to reports in British media, Italian coach, Carlo Ancelotti, said that Liverpool has not sent him any offers to coach the team.

After the ‘Reds’ owners sacked Irish manager, Brendan Rodgers, on Sunday due to a series of poor performances, the press announced a few coach names as possible replacements.

Former Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, was mentioned as one of the favorites. However, the Italian manager said he has not received any offer from the club to train the ‘Reds’.

“I have not had any offers from Liverpool,” said Ancelotti.

The 3-time European Cup winner announced in a previous statement that he wished to have some time off.

Carletto is reportedly planning to take a year off after coaching Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain since 2011 without a break.

Ancelotti’s decision might disappoint some of his supporters such as former ‘Reds’ defender Graeme Souness who said the Italian man would be a good match for Liverpool.

The ‘Reds’ will have to make a choice of who can lead the team to achieve good performances, following a poor start to the season.

During his time with the ‘Reds’, Rodgers was unable to reach any higher than a 52% victory rate.
