Rabat – Chelsea manager, José Mourinho is sticking to his job and not letting another defeat challenge his job with the club.

According to UK’s Express, the ‘blues’ boss said if Chelsea does not want him they will have to “sack” him because he is not leaving.

“If the club wants to sack me they have to sack me because I am not running away,” said Mourinho following Chelsea’s defeat against Southampton.

After admitting this is the worst time of his career, the Portuguese coach was hoping for a victory at Stamford Bridge. But he walked away empty-handed as the Saints shamed Chelsea with a 3-1 final score.

“To be champions now is very difficult because the distance is so much but I am convinced we will finish in the top four”, affirmed a hopeful Mourinho.

‘The Special One’ is under a great amount of pressure as his team sits 10 points behind Manchester United, the current leader of the Premier League and only 4 points away from the relegation zone.

Despite their losses, Mourinho stressed: “This is a moment for everybody to assume their responsibilities and stick together.”

From his fallout with Eva Carneiro that almost cost him a five-match ban to Chelsea’s owner Abramovich being unhappy with his performance, Mourinho is facing a lot of criticism this season, yet he believes he is the best manager in the history of the ‘blues’.

“It is a crucial moment in the history of this club because if they sack me they sack the best manager this club has ever had. The message is that the results are the fault of the manager.”

Saturday night, Chelsea dominated the first 10 minutes at their home ground when midfielder Willian scored the first goal of the game. The ‘blues’ were leading until Southampton’s Steven Davis put the score at 1-1 (43’) followed by Saido Mane’s strike (60’) and Graziano Pelle’s victoy goal (72’).
