Morocco Net International Reserves Reach MAD 210 Billion, Central Bank

Rabat – Morocco’s net international reserves amounted to 210.4 billion dirhams until August 28, recording a 20.7 per cent increase on an annual basis, Bank Al-Maghrib announced.

The Bank explained in its weekly indicators that the reserves recorded a 2.1 per cent weekly rise.

During the period between August27 and September 2nd, the central bank injected MAD 34 billion.

Over the course of this period, the interbank rate remained unchanged at 2.50 per cent and the average daily trading volume amounted to 3.3 billion dirhams.

During the week of August 20 to September 2, 2015, the dirham appreciated by 0.46% against the euro and depreciated by 0.73% against the US dollar.
